i have a new pad now, which is really my old room, because mum and dad have just arrived in new zealand! i’ve packed most of my beauty things (which are really only a couple of pottles of cream, a stick of eyeliner, and some hair ties…), along with some photo frames. yesterday morning i bought a small three dollar bouquet of poppies, only 2 of the 6 stems had flowered. i placed a pretty orange one in a tiny 25 ml conical flask (what a science geek) in the master bedroom, ready for mum and dad’s arrival, and the others i placed in a little glass bottle on my now new bedside table. tonight, after returning home from work, i was happily surprised to see that all the poppies had bloomed! and one was as big as the size of my hand! pretty little things, really :)
